2. ShadowingEnglish — the closest feature-for-feature rival

Strengths: Also lets you paste YouTube videos, offers AI pronunciation scoring, and organises practice by level and topic, with vocabulary tracking and saved videos. The interface supports many languages. It adds some fun extras like grammar fill-in-the-blank exercises and a live multiplayer word-chain game.

Worth knowing: The web version is free, but the platform pushes a paid mobile app for its AI features. There's no dedicated dictation section.

Being straight with you: this is a genuinely similar tool to ours. If you prefer their interface, use it — what matters is that you practise speaking daily.
