0:01
If all you want is success, you will not have it.
0:06
And so if ALL YOU WANT IS THE SUCCESS,
0:08
IF ALL YOU WANT IS A TROPHY, THEN YOU DON'T WANT A STORY,
0:13
A PROCESS, IF YOU don't want TO BE MADE INTO SOMETHING,
0:17
then you you've already missed it.
0:18
You've already failed.
0:19
You've already tanked.
0:20
And so once you get this, everything changes.
0:26
What have been the biggest obstacles in your life?
0:29
WHAT HAS STOPPED YOU?
0:30
What has hindered you?
0:31
What has provoked you to get lazy?
0:34
When life pushed you down.
0:36
When everybody said you are not enough.
0:39
When you told yourself, "I quit because I can't finish."
0:43
And you got back up the next day and kept going.
0:46
Sacrifice is going to have to become your companion and no longer your enemy.
0:52
Too many of you think sacrifice is your enemy.
0:54
Sacrifice is a curse word.
0:56
Sacrifice is bad.
0:57
I don't want to sacrifice.
0:59
Well, guess what?
1:01
You cannot have success without process without sacrificing.
1:07
You cannot have it.
1:09
If all you see is success,
1:12
then you've missed the entire moment because it is the journey.
1:16
It is the grit.
1:17
It is the grind.
1:18
It's the prayers that you pray.
1:20
It's the tears that you have cried.
1:21
It's the rejection that you've had to take on your back.
1:25
And so we all know these things that we've got to sacrifice often times.
1:29
Sometimes it's sleep.
1:30
Sometimes it's your relationship.
1:32
Sometimes it's those urges
1:33
that we might get
1:34
and we got to sacrifice those urges we got to sacrifice.
1:41
Is it fear that we need to let go of?
1:43
Is it unnecessary stress?
1:45
Come on.
1:45
Is it those unidentified triggers?
1:47
What is it?
1:48
What hobbies do I need to let go of?
1:50
What people do I need to let go of?
1:51
What opinions of people do I need to let go of?
1:54
what's wasting my time?
1:57
And so when sacrifice becomes your companion,
2:01
it is only then
2:02
that we can begin to step into the process of what is required to
2:07
climb mountains.
2:08
Everybody wants to get to the top of the mountain,
2:09
but nobody wants to climb.
2:11
Sacrifice is going to build me.
2:13
Sacrifice is going to prepare me.
2:14
I'm going to be equipped.
2:15
I'm going to be conditioned.
2:18
Destiny is haunting us, breathing down our necks,
2:22
asking us when are we going to step forward.
2:27
When are we going to march into this thing?
2:32
The future is very expensive.
2:37
I I don't know what it is that you want to do,
2:39
but everybody's got something they want to do.
2:42
Everybody's got something they want to become.
2:44
Everybody's got somewhere they believe they've been destined to go.
2:49
And often times we don't hit these targets because we're not considering the cost.
2:56
Then I just want to share with you things
2:58
that you need to start sacrificing right now.
3:03
Number one, your time.
3:04
You got to get used to sacrificing your time.
3:06
If you're going to achieve it, if you're going to become it,
3:10
if you're going to go somewhere,
3:12
then you're going to learn how to have to sacrifice your time.
3:14
You can't have the future.
3:16
And you don't know how to wake up at 3:00 in the morning,
3:18
4:00 in the morning, 5:00 in the morning.
3:20
You can't have the future.
3:21
You will not be able to manifest if you're sleeping when the world sleeps.
3:28
So, you got to learn how to get up when everybody's sleeping.
3:31
You only have 24 hours in a day.
3:33
You got to learn to manage the time that is given to you.
3:37
This means that you can't binge watch your favorite television show every day.
3:41
This means that you can't be on social media every day.
3:44
This means that you can't do whatever you want all day
3:46
and think you're going to manifest
3:47
and become this person
3:49
and achieve this feat.
3:50
It's not going to happen.
3:53
Number two, you got to surrender comfort.
3:55
I I need you to get out of your comfort zone.
4:02
If you're going to be successful, if you're going to achieve it,
4:06
if you're going to become it,
4:08
you've got to break out of your comfort zone.
4:11
Some of you, YOU HAVE FINANCIAL GOALS, YOU HAVE RELATIONAL GOALS,
4:14
you have health goals, but you're comfortable.
4:18
You're comfortable in the current toxic relationship you're in.
4:21
You're comfortable being overweight.
4:23
But I'm just wondering
4:24
if there's anybody that's listening TO ME THAT'S JUST FLATOUT TIRED OF being comfortable.
4:32
Number three, past versions of yourself.
4:37
There is an irritation.
4:39
There is an anguish
4:40
and a pain that we all carry
4:43
when we show up in a new season.
4:46
The old version of ourselves.
4:49
Every season requires a new version of yourself. >> >> another version of discipline
4:57
and focus and intentionality
5:01
that you got to sacrifice the old you.
5:03
I know you keep celebrating small wins and what you accomplished 5 years ago,
5:07
2 years ago, what you did in high school.
5:10
I need you to find a mirror
5:12
and I need you to say goodbye to the old version of yourself.
5:17
In the next 3 to 6 months, you're going to make you proud.
5:23
The next thing that's got to go is fear, pride, and ego.
5:29
For many of us, FEAR IS DISGUISED AS RATIONAL AND PRACTICAL.
5:35
And and FEAR IS DISGUISED AS A PLANNING AGENT.
5:38
I'm just planning out the process, and I'm just going to wait.
5:42
I'm just kind of walking myself through everything and and and processing everything.
5:46
And so fear cloaks fear disguises itself as as process.
5:52
And and I'M TALKING TO YOU.
5:53
I need you to find a mirror.
5:54
And I need you to bind up the spirit of fear.
5:57
And I need YOU TO TELL YOURSELF, I AM NOT AFRAID.
6:01
I am not afraid.
6:04
If you were to ask me, what do I fear?
6:05
I don't fear starting.
6:07
I fear never starting and sleeping on my potential.
6:10
I'm terrified of not manifesting
6:13
and becoming the version of myself I was destined to be.
6:18
So, the next thing you're going to have to sacrifice is that vice.
6:20
Now listen, I I don't know what your vice is.
6:23
If you're trying to lose weight, your vice could be ice cream, chips, cupcakes,
6:26
cookies.
6:27
If you're trying to be financially fit,
6:30
your vice could be splurging on clothes and entertainment and food and recreation.
6:37
Sometimes you're going to have to surrender that month, that quarter, that year.
6:43
It takes a lifetime of discipline.
6:46
Can you surrender WHAT YOU HAVE POSSESSED?
6:49
Can you surrender what is possessing you?
6:51
SOME OF YOU ARE POSSESSED BY SOCIAL MEDIA.
6:55
It's no longer a servant.
6:56
It is a master.
6:57
Social media is a beautiful servant.
7:00
But it is a terrible master.
7:04
Can you surrender social media?
7:05
Can you surrender your time?
7:07
Can you surrender yourself?
7:09
Can you surrender your mind?
7:11
Can you surrender your will?
7:12
Can you stop choosing what's killing you?
7:15
IF YOU'RE GOING TO ACHIEVE IT, if you're going to manifest it,
7:18
if you're going to do this thing, then you're going to need some stamina.
7:21
Come on, believe it.
7:22
Come on.
7:23
You got to start speaking that stamina over your life,
7:25
speaking that endurance over your life.
7:27
Believe it.
7:28
Believe it.
7:29
If you're going to be extraordinary and you can't make ordinary sacrifices.
7:33
There are levels to sacrifice.
7:35
There's sacrifices that everybody makes.
7:37
Sacrifices in every scene of our lives.
7:40
And then there are some extraordinary sacrifices.
7:45
You can't have the future
7:46
if you can't surrender something that's no longer serving you.
7:50
You cannot manifest.
7:52
You cannot become the next version of yourself.
7:55
You cannot experience a higher quality of life unless you sacrifice.
7:59
There are some things that you love too much.
8:02
There are some people that you've kept in your life.
8:05
They are toxic.
8:06
They add no value.
8:08
They are no longer serving YOUR VISION.
8:11
IT'S TIME FOR THE NEXT VERSION OF YOURSELF.
8:14
SNAP OUT OF IT.
8:15
THIS VERSION OF you is not going to carry you in this next season.
8:22
You're going to have to sacrifice who you used to be.
8:28
Michael Jordan has a $2 billion net worth.
8:30
That's beautiful.
8:33
But what was the cost for all of that?
8:35
How did HE WIN GAMES?
8:36
HOW did he win championships?
8:38
HOW HARD DID HE PRACTICE?
8:40
HOW CRAZY WAS HIS FAITH?
8:41
HOW MANY VACATIONS DID MICHAEL JORDAN HAVE TO TURN DOWN?
8:44
HOW MANY PARTIES DID HE HAVE TO WALK OUT OF?
8:47
HOW MANY PEOPLE HAD TO BE AMPUTATED OUT OF HIS LIFE?
8:50
EVERYBODY WANTS TO CELEBRATE THE $2 BILLION EVALUATION OF HIS ENTERPRISE.
8:57
But it came at a cost.
8:59
It came with some sleepless nights.
9:01
It came with some long practices.
9:04
It came with a lot of nos.
9:06
No, no, no, no.
9:07
I can't do the party.
9:08
No, no, no.
9:09
I'm not going to do the drinking.
9:10
No, I'm not connecting with them now.
9:12
I don't need THAT CIRCLE.
9:14
NO, IT CAME WITH A LOT OF NOS.
9:16
IT CAME WITH A LOT OF SACRIFICE.
9:17
IT COMES WITH A LOT OF REJECTING.
9:21
IT COMES WITH A LOT OF awareness of what is not serving the vision.
9:30
Had a temperature of over 100°
9:32
and won the game over THE JAZZ
9:34
AND 95.
9:36
A CHAMPION.
9:37
BUT HE SACRIFICED COMFORT.
9:39
HE SACRIFICED CONVENIENCE.
9:40
HE HAD TO SACRIFICE AND REJECT THE VOICES IN HIS HEAD THAT SAID,
9:44
"YOU'RE CRAZY.
9:45
YOU'RE SICK.
9:46
YOU NEED TO REST.
9:47
YOU NEED TO SIT DOWN."
9:50
If I'm going to seek success,
9:51
I've got to define what sacrifices are required in order to step into it.
9:56
I cannot have it.
9:58
I will not see it until I've counted up the cost. you'll find yourself
10:04
connected to a 100 people
10:05
that think they know what you should be doing to get where you're supposed
10:08
to be.
10:09
And so, I've got to begin to shut the mouths of the people
10:12
that don't know the cost,
10:13
the price that I have to pay.
10:15
You may HAVE PAID THAT, BUT I MAY NOT have to pay that price.
10:19
I can learn from your mistakes.
10:21
I don't have to fall down the same ditch as you fell down.
10:24
I don't have to flop down the same stairs you flopped down.
10:28
That's your price.
10:29
THAT'S YOUR CAUSE.
10:30
I'VE GOT ANOTHER WAY.
10:31
I'VE GOT A DIFFERENT MENTALITY.
10:33
I JUST MAY BE A little bit more creative than you.
10:35
I just may be a little bit more innovative.
10:37
I JUST MAY HAVE MORE FAITH THAN YOU.
10:39
I DON'T HAVE TO FALL LIKE YOU FAIL.
10:41
I DON'T HAVE TO HURT LIKE YOU HURT.
10:43
I CAN LOOK UP AND get up.
10:46
When did you get to the point where you snapped so easily?
10:49
When you let go so easily.
10:51
When you gave up so easily.
10:53
I know what it's like to feel like if I keep going,
10:56
I'm going to waste my time.
10:57
We all get to this point in our life where we ask ourselves the
11:00
question,
11:01
what have I held on to that should have been amputated.
11:05
All of us are holding on to something
11:09
that is familiar and we are comfortable
11:12
and it has become our paradigm,
11:14
our pattern, our way of life.
11:15
And if we're honest, we can't see ourselves without this thing.
11:20
I don't know what it is for you.
11:22
Everybody's got a different thing, person, place,
11:24
something that needs to be amputated out of our life,
11:27
cut off that's no longer serving us.
11:30
And so my question to you really is,
11:32
I know you have your eyes on success, the endgame, the trophy,
11:37
but what conveniences haven't we let go of that have become cancerous to us?
11:46
If we're honest, we should be able to write out a whole list of
11:49
things that we're not doing
11:51
that we were destined to do.
11:53
But but our forward motion has been halted by something.
11:59
Are you willing to confess to yourself?
12:02
What haven't you been willing to surrender?
12:05
Why is it that you think what's killing you is is helping you?
12:08
You're bleeding out.
12:10
You're directionless.
12:11
You don't even have an an idea where you are.
12:15
and you're so comfortable yet you're
12:18
so annoyed because there's something deep down on the inside of you
12:22
that knows that you're not where you're supposed to be.
12:26
And so now we've got to start talking about the things
12:28
that we need to sacrifice.
12:30
What is it that needs to be amputated?
12:33
That I thought was assigned to be an aid to me
12:38
that I thought was a help
12:40
that I thought was an assignment is actually my my assassin.
12:45
It's the things in our life
12:46
that we think are helping us
12:49
that we're assigned to
12:50
that are often times assigned to kill us.
12:54
What have you claimed to that should have been amputated years ago?
12:58
I don't know what it is.
12:59
Cuz you know, I don't have to know.
13:01
You need to know.
13:02
Is it laziness?
13:02
Is it procrastination?
13:04
Is it ego?
13:04
Is it fear?
13:05
Is it doubt?
13:06
Is it rejection?
13:08
Is it abandonment?
13:10
Is it just pain?
13:11
I mean, what is it?
13:12
What is it?
13:13
Why?
13:13
Why?
13:14
Why?
13:14
Why?
13:14
Why haven't you been able to succeed in specific areas
13:18
that you've set out to conquer,
13:20
that you've set out to dominate, that you've set out to be the best?
13:23
Why is it that you haven't been able to succeed?
13:26
Why?
13:26
Why?
13:26
Why?
13:27
Ask yourself these questions.
13:29
And what haven't you been willing to sacrifice?
13:31
We all know the list.
13:33
There's no time to get amnesia now.
13:34
We all know the list of things we got to sacrifice.
13:37
Are we going to have immediate gratification and long-term dysfunction?
13:41
Or are we going to have long-term gratification and short-term discomfort?
