I'm currently inside one of the biggest and busiest Indian-Pakistani restaurants in America.
0:07
And the kitchen is an unbelievable sight.
0:10
All these are the different karahis and curries that we'll be trying today.
0:14
People come from around the world to eat here.
0:17
And on any weekend night, we serve over 4,000 people per night.
0:22
But with huge crowds and non-stop cooking, how do they do it?
0:26
We're going to get a full behind-the-scenes tour.
0:29
And as we progress,
0:30
I'll be showing you 17 of their best Indian-Pakistani dishes you have to try.
0:36
I've never seen anything like this in the United States.
0:42
Hey everyone, it's Mark Wiens.
0:43
We made it.
0:43
Welcome to Houston, Texas, and I've just arrived at Aga's.
0:48
It's an Indian-Pakistani restaurant known to be one of the busiest
0:51
and the biggest Indian-Pakistani restaurants in North America.
0:56
Oh, I can smell the food in the air.
0:58
I'm very excited.
1:02
So, welcome to Aga's inside and we met up with Zain.
1:06
So, Zain, tell me about Aga's, man.
1:08
Aga's is a 24-25 year-old institution.
1:12
Our family took over about 15 years ago,
1:15
and it's grown from the hard work of our team.
1:18
Wow.
1:18
So, when we originally purchased the restaurant, it was just 6,000 square feet.
1:23
Okay.
1:24
Since then, we've expanded slowly over that way.
1:27
Uh so, now it's 15,000 square feet.
1:29
The most recent expansion was the banquet hall
1:32
because we assumed we would use a banquet hall for parties,
1:35
>> >> but it just made much more sense to just have folks dine in there.
1:39
And big families come, too.
1:41
So, you could have six, 10, 15 people.
1:44
Food is about community and getting together and family.
1:47
>> Exactly.
1:48
Okay.
1:48
Amazing.
1:49
You go through this series and there's various uh dining areas,
1:53
but then you come to the big one, the entire banquet hall,
1:57
where you can come here with your whole family.
2:00
Hello.
2:01
Thank you.
2:01
Thank you.
2:02
How's the food here?
2:03
Oh, lovely.
2:04
Best food ever.
2:07
Thank you.
2:07
Thank you.
2:08
Nice to meet you.
2:10
You can come here with a whole party, have a whole banquet.
2:14
It's one of the largest Indo-Pak restaurant in North America >> >> with seating
2:19
capacity of close to 750 people.
2:22
And on any weekend night, Friday, Saturday, Sunday,
2:25
we serve over 4,000 people per night. 4,000 people per night?
2:30
>> Throughout the year.
2:31
Amazing.
2:32
We have eight chefs, four from Pakistan, three from India, one from Bangladesh,
2:36
with probably 3-400 years of combined experience >> Wow. cuisine.
2:45
>> >> Step into the kitchen.
2:46
It is absolutely packed.
2:48
The chefs are hard at work.
2:50
There's a station for everything.
2:51
The aromas, the steam, the smoke.
2:54
And right through the entrance of the kitchen is where all the dishes are
2:58
ready and they're going out off from the line.
3:00
They're going out to be served.
3:02
But it is loud.
3:03
It is action-packed.
3:05
We're first starting at the karahi station.
3:07
Karahi is actually the metal steel rounded pan
3:11
that all the curries are made in.
3:13
Pakistani, Indian curries.
3:15
Oh man, there's like 50 karahis going all at the same time.
3:19
All the spices, the aromas.
3:21
And you got to stir them every now and then,
3:23
keep track of them with that raging hot fire, flaming, sizzling.
3:28
And these are actually the curries we're going to be getting, right?
3:30
>> Oh, yeah.
3:31
Okay.
3:32
We're having nihari, palak paneer, mutton daal karahi, chicken shinwari karahi.
3:36
Oh, man.
3:39
Okay. >> popular item here in Aga's.
3:41
Okay, cool.
3:43
Okay.
3:43
So, these are Oh,
3:44
these are the different karahis and curries that we'll be trying today.
3:48
But this is unbelievable.
3:50
The situation, all the different burners going all at the same time.
3:54
You really feel like you are in India or Pakistan,
3:57
and I'm so excited that this exists in Houston at Aga's.
4:03
This is as good as it gets.
4:05
One of the more impressive kitchens
4:07
that you'll ever see
4:09
because everyone is busy
4:11
and everything is organized.
4:13
Biryani is just flying.
4:17
And the naan station is just non-stop.
4:19
They're flying, never taking a break.
4:22
It's naan after naan.
4:23
They slap them out, slap them out,
4:25
then onto the like it's like a conveyor belt oven onto there,
4:29
and then there's a mixture of garlic with I think coriander.
4:32
They get a whole handful every naan, a whole handful of the garlic coriander.
4:36
Oh, that smells good.
4:39
We used to make 4,000 naans a day. 4,000 naans per day?
4:44
They're flying, non-stop.
4:45
Yeah.
4:48
Non-stop.
4:48
Then we go to the grill station where there's our famous goat chops,
4:52
sizzling goat chops are there being made.
4:54
>> The legendary goat chops.
4:56
They're marinated in a thick masala that smells incredible.
5:00
Then they go onto the grill, smoldering, smoking.
5:04
It is an impressive sight to see, and that aroma,
5:08
that smell coming off the grill is unbelievable.
5:14
So, we're moving on to the next station in the kitchen,
5:15
in the deep-frying station,
5:17
to see another one of the most famous dishes at Aga's.
5:20
So, we're going to start with our chicken lollipop,
5:22
one of the most popular item here in Aga's.
5:25
Look at that thickness of
5:26
that masala plastered onto every piece of chicken for the chicken lollipops.
5:30
I think they're the drum the drumettes, the wing drumstick,
5:34
and then all that meat is pulled down onto the bone,
5:37
so you got this lollipop like a lollipop head,
5:39
and then every chicken lollipop is actually nurtured, like formed and shaped.
5:43
The excess masala and batter goes off, then into the fryer,
5:46
and he has to like twirl it
5:48
so that it keeps the correct shape like a lollipop.
5:51
All that care ensuring the shape and form is perfect for every lollipop.
6:02
Okay, this batch is ready.
6:04
Lollipop chicken, fresh batch.
6:06
Look how crispy they are.
6:07
All that masala is plastered and crispified onto the chicken.
6:13
The fresh batch.
6:15
That's ready to go.
6:17
Okay, so we're moving over now to the tandoor station and the kebabs.
6:21
This is our own chicken kebab.
6:23
Chicken kebab?
6:27
>> Yeah.
6:27
Okay.
6:27
Chicken kebab ready.
6:30
All the meat kebabs.
6:31
This is our beef behari, one of the Okay.
6:36
There's so many things you have to eat here.
6:38
Yeah.
6:39
What is this one?
6:40
This is our chaska boti.
6:41
Chaska boti?
6:41
Yeah.
6:42
Oh, yeah.
6:42
I think we're going to try this one, too, huh?
6:44
The chaska boti goes on.
6:50
Okay.
6:50
Now that we saw some of the kebabs being skewered.
6:52
Now, these are the tandoors here.
6:54
There's like five or six tandoors nonstop, always full.
6:58
And these are like Pakistani Texas-sized kebabs.
7:02
They're huge.
7:05
Beef chapli kebab.
7:06
Wow, nice.
7:07
Chicken tikka breast.
7:08
Okay.
7:10
This is our chicken wings.
7:13
Nice.
7:13
That's a beef kebab?
7:14
Yeah, beef seekh.
7:15
Beef seekh kebab.
7:18
Chicken seekh kebab.
7:20
All right, cool.
7:25
Look at the amount of takeaway orders.
7:29
How many takeout orders so far?
7:30
1,400. 1,400 takeaway orders.
7:35
Oh, wow.
7:38
That kitchen is one of the most impressive kitchens I've seen in the world.
7:44
It is bustling and I am so hungry now.
7:47
Moving to our table to start eating.
7:50
I've never been so hungry in my entire life.
7:53
Should I open now?
8:03
Okay.
8:03
And a lollipop, chicken lollipop.
8:06
World famous.
8:07
Yes, it is.
8:18
Okay.
8:18
Yes.
8:18
Palak paneer.
8:20
All right.
8:22
That's the Nihari.
8:24
One of the greatest dishes on earth.
8:25
Yes.
8:28
>> >> The amount of action, I have never seen this scale,
8:32
this busyness in the United States.
8:34
It is truly impressive, the organization.
8:37
This is a restaurant
8:38
that literally brings people together from the entire world serving incredibly delicious food
8:44
and it's still family run.
8:46
It is It's impressive.
8:48
I cannot believe it.
8:49
And the food, we have a feast.
8:51
I am so overwhelmed and so excited and everything smells incredible.
8:56
I have no idea what to begin with,
8:58
so I think I'm just going to go straight for that lollipop chicken.
9:01
You can see how crispy it is.
9:02
All that masala just crispified.
9:04
This is the first bite
9:06
and we have a lot of different dishes to taste.
9:15
Oh, wow.
9:19
That marinade, the spices, the masala batter.
9:24
It's so crispy and
9:26
then somehow on the inside the chicken remains
9:28
so juicy as it's been pushed down to the end to the lollipop shape.
9:32
So the chicken on the inside is just it remains incredibly juicy
9:36
while the outside is
9:37
so flavorful and so crispy.
9:41
For my next bite, I'll add some of the sauce.
9:50
Oh, yeah, and the sauce just elevates it with this a little bit of
9:53
spice and then a sweet
9:55
and a sourness to it to combine with all the spices.
9:58
That's extremely tasty.
10:03
Something you have to start your meal with.
10:05
All right, I'll move on to the chicken cheska boti
10:08
and let me add on a little bit of lemon,
10:10
give it a little bit of lemon.
10:11
There's a sauce that is grilled
10:14
or in the tandoor chicken
10:16
and then with the sauce on top.
10:21
Looks fantastic and with the red onions got to get some red onions
10:24
as well.
10:37
The tenderness of the chicken
10:39
that smoky flavor then it has
10:42
that creamy kind of tangy sauce to it,
10:44
that acidity of the lemon juice
10:47
and the crunch of the red onions all together.
10:50
The smokiness of the chicken marinated perfectly and the garliciness of the sauce.
10:56
That is it's like the flavor just embeds all the way through the piece
11:00
of chicken.
11:01
That's phenomenal.
11:02
Okay, next up for the dynamite shrimp, we're moving along.
11:09
Got a big meaty shrimp.
11:13
A little bit crispy around the edges
11:15
and then it's completely lathered in a sauce
11:18
that has a little bit of a sweetness,
11:19
a sticky sweetness a little bit of spice to it,
11:22
a little bit of seasoning spices to it as well.
11:26
It's just like an addictive flavor that you could keep on eating.
11:29
Okay, next up for the anari boti kebab.
11:32
And it's is chicken marinated in pomegranate.
11:35
So you can see that really red deep red pomegranate color.
11:39
And you can see the marinade is again just clinging to the chicken
11:44
and keeping it so moist on the inside
11:46
and so so hydrated on the inside
11:49
and just all that flavor coated on the outside.
11:56
Oh wow.
11:57
Again the smokiness comes through.
11:59
It's moist and juicy.
12:01
Has that acidity from the pomegranate.
12:06
Oh.
12:06
Phenomenal dish after dish.
12:08
That's why thousands of people eat here every day.
12:11
And this is just the start.
12:13
So the New York Times ranked Aga's goat chops the 26th I said about
12:18
that. 26 best dishes in America.
12:21
>> It was on the list of the 26 best dishes in America, right?
12:24
>> Yes.
12:24
How how cool is that?
12:26
I wanted to try it.
12:27
And we saw the entire process in the kitchen.
12:30
They're marinated in a really thick masala, right?
12:33
>> Yes.
12:33
>> Then they get grilled.
12:34
They're marinated for over 24 hours.
12:36
What are some of the main ingredients in the the masala?
12:39
I wouldn't know.
12:40
You wouldn't know?
12:41
Okay.
12:42
Okay.
12:42
>> >> I would I would I won't be able to tell you.
12:43
Okay.
12:44
But you can see it's probably like a yogurt.
12:46
There's definitely a mix of spices. >> different types of spices in there.
12:51
>> Wow.
12:51
Okay.
12:52
That's one of the signature dishes.
12:53
And then the presentation is also impressive
12:55
because they put it onto a flaming hot iron skillet.
12:59
Onions go on.
13:03
Oh that just immediately hisses and smolders.
13:06
And then the goat chops go on directly from the grill.
13:12
Oh and just hiss and steam.
13:14
Oh what a portion size too.
13:16
That's like five or six goat chops.
13:18
And they hiss and sizzle.
13:23
Nice.
13:23
Oh wow.
13:24
Those goat chops are unbelievable.
13:26
They're hissing. that steam, that aroma.
13:29
Oh, no wonder everyone orders them.
13:31
That aroma's irresistible.
13:33
Your mouth will water.
13:34
These are going straight out to the tables.
13:37
Yeah, man.
13:38
What a process.
13:40
They come to your table sizzling, steaming, and yeah,
13:44
your nose will awaken with the aroma.
13:48
So, these are hot off the fire.
13:51
One of the dishes I was most looking forward to.
13:53
The thickness of the the masala and the marinade just caked onto it.
13:57
I'm going to try with more.
13:58
>> Yeah, you should have one.
13:58
You should have one.
14:00
Yes.
14:01
Yes.
14:02
Here we go.
14:03
The legendary.
14:08
Oh, wow.
14:10
I can eat this every day, 7 days a week.
14:14
Me, too.
14:16
>> >> That is the truth.
14:18
That is phenomenal.
14:20
My god.
14:21
That yogurt-y mix of spices in the masala just It's It's literally just caked,
14:28
and then it goes all the way through the the chop.
14:31
Like all the way All the way to the bone.
14:34
Mhm.
14:34
Even the bone would be tasty if you could eat it.
14:37
>> >> But, it's like a perfect ratio.
14:39
The goat has a fattiness to it as well,
14:41
keeping it juicy and hydrated and moist.
14:43
And as that grills, the fat also seeps into the meat,
14:46
keeping it just like releasing the layers of flavor.
14:49
You you keep talking.
14:50
I'll keep eating.
14:51
Okay.
14:51
I got to stop talking.
14:55
>> >> Oh.
14:55
This is one of the best goat chops you can eat anywhere in the
14:58
world.
14:59
It is absolutely Mhm.
15:03
Oh, wow.
15:04
Okay, so next up, we'll try the Is that the beef kebab?
15:07
>> Beef kebab.
15:07
Beef kebab.
15:08
Beef kebab.
15:09
And they are big, hearty.
15:11
I'll join the party.
15:12
>> Yes, sure.
15:13
All right, here we go.
15:14
Beef kebab.
15:15
Meaty.
15:21
Mhm.
15:21
I can immediately taste the coriander seed, that bright citrusy flavor.
15:25
And the cumin. >> very crumbly, delicate.
15:28
Yeah, it has this really fine kind of texture.
15:32
But then it crumbles in your mouth.
15:34
And yeah, it's easy to dry dry something out like this.
15:38
But it's so impressive
15:39
that it's so moist
15:39
and so juicy even
15:40
when they are so busy in the kitchen,
15:42
they've maintained the quality.
15:44
And as you keep on eating that, more flavors come out.
15:46
And you get like this almost like a herbal.
15:49
The green chili Or is the green chili in there, maybe?
15:51
Yes.
15:52
Yeah.
15:53
The amount of people we serve, you've seen it.
15:55
But quality is never going to be compromised here.
15:59
It's always our top priority for us.
16:01
Consistency and >> Consistency and quality.
16:06
>> Very special.
16:07
>> It has some heat to it, too.
16:08
It does.
16:09
It's properly spicy, yeah.
16:10
Yes.
16:11
It is hitting all my taste buds all at the same time.
16:15
Oh, I love it.
16:16
Okay, what should we try next?
16:17
Okay, this chicken tandoori masala is one of my favorite dishes at our guest.
16:21
The chicken is marinated overnight with spices, then it's cooked in the curry sauce.
16:27
Yeah.
16:27
Oh my god, it's so good.
16:29
The sauce is so thick
16:30
that I'm going to grab in with a piece of naan for this.
16:34
Grab in with a piece of naan.
16:36
Oh, scoop right in.
16:37
Huge pieces of chicken.
16:40
Get some of the chicken
16:40
and then I'm going to scoop into It's swimming in a pool of gravy.
16:51
Mhm.
16:51
Oh, wow.
16:53
The creaminess.
16:56
It's so rich.
16:58
It's so creamy.
16:59
The gravy is so thick and so flavorful.
17:03
You taste the flavor of the coriander.
17:04
The chicken just melts in your mouth because it's been cooked in the tandoori,
17:08
then re-cooked in the sauce so it absorbs that flavor.
17:11
Layer upon layer of flavor.
17:14
Insanely flavorful.
17:16
Have you ever tried any anything like this anywhere?
17:20
Like I mean like some are similar but still different flavors.
17:24
>> Yes.
17:25
This is This is a family of chicken tikka masala.
17:27
Okay.
17:28
It is similar to chicken tikka masala, yeah.
17:31
Should we try the nihari?
17:32
Okay.
17:33
So, nihari tastes incredible by itself.
17:37
But adding a little bit of the the flavor to it Yes.
17:42
I got coriander >> Juliennes of ginger is a must. >> a little bit
17:48
of green chili. >> chili,
17:49
yes.
17:50
>> Yeah.
17:50
And then lemon.
17:52
Ah, brings the flavor out.
17:53
>> Got to get a little bit of acidity to that meatiness.
17:56
Yeah, you can see the tenderness of it.
17:58
It's just stringing apart.
18:00
Oh, look at that.
18:02
Is that cool or what?
18:03
Yeah, that's That will make your mouth water.
18:07
Again, let me just grab a piece so you can see the Oh,
18:10
when your fingers seep into the the sauce just a little bit.
18:14
That's one of the most satisfying feelings.
18:16
Sinking your fingers in It feels soft like a pillow.
18:19
Oh, again, it's just melting.
18:21
The tenderness.
18:22
And then you do want to Before you take it to your mouth,
18:25
you want to try to scoop up as much of that nihari gravy,
18:30
the thickness of it, as possible.
18:32
Nihari is another one of the celebrated dishes in India and Pakistan.
18:37
And it's It's one of the kings of dishes, actually.
18:40
People People go crazy for nihari and often it's actually a breakfast dish.
18:44
It might I said I always eat it for breakfast, yeah.
18:46
>> Yeah, I was going to tell you that that nihari is so popular,
18:49
they eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and in between. 24 hours a day.
19:04
>> Yes.
19:04
>> >> Oh, wow.
19:05
But there's nothing like nihari in the world, man.
19:08
No.
19:09
Nihari is a special dish.
19:10
>> It's It's incredibly special.
19:14
Just the the balance of the spices, the black peppery cardamom aroma to it,
19:20
but the meatiness.
19:22
It's all about the meatiness of nihari.
19:27
A huge thank you to Shaukat.
19:28
He's part of the family and he manages the floor, so he's extremely busy.
19:33
He had to go take care of some stuff,
19:35
but just him taking the time to explain
19:37
and to take some bites with me was very special.
19:41
Before we can proceed,
19:42
I need another bite of nihari before we can go on.
19:45
Let me give that a little squeeze of lemon, add some ginger.
19:56
That bite of nihari literally takes me back to the streets of Pakistan.
20:02
That's the power of food.
20:03
It can transport you to another world, to another place, to happiness and memories.
20:12
Oh, yeah.
20:14
Okay.
20:14
Let me take some of the garlic naan.
20:18
And this one is the white chicken karahi.
20:20
So, it's a white, like a creamy sauce.
20:23
Huge pieces of Oh, it's chicken kebab.
20:26
Chicken kebab and that sauce is so thick and so creamy.
20:42
There's never ending dish after dish.
20:45
That sauce it has this nutty creaminess to it.
20:49
It tastes like a nuttiness Yeah, like a nuttiness.
20:52
You taste the garlic in there, the herbalness,
20:55
all just completely saturated under these tender, juicy chicken kebabs.
21:02
And I read that this is also one of the signature dishes,
21:05
is white karahi.
21:06
It is that so much flavor like It will leave you smiling
21:15
and completely happy and you'll you'll never want to stop eating it.
21:19
It will blow away your taste buds.
21:21
Okay, we're moving on.
21:22
This one is the shinwari karahi
21:25
and I think it's with I think it's with chicken.
21:28
Oh, you see the chilies in here.
21:29
You see the amount of ginger.
21:31
This looks spicy.
21:31
Look at the thickness of the sauce.
21:42
The tartness of the tomatoes in there, the ginger, the green chilies.
21:46
Oh yeah, you taste the chilies in there.
21:48
Oh, that's so good.
21:49
And that is a completely different flavor from the white karahi.
21:52
So this one is the Hunza karahi
21:54
which is in the northern part of Pakistan.
21:57
It's in the Karakoram Mountains.
21:59
It is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been in my life
22:02
and the food is has quite a bit of difference too
22:05
because it's more high elevation.
22:07
The spices are not quite as strong, but the meat is just as good.
22:18
Oh, that one tastes more like mutton.
22:21
Instead of goat, it tastes like mutton.
22:22
It has a stronger meaty flavor to it.
22:25
The spices are not quite as strong, but the meat just stands out.
22:29
The flavor of ginger, just a little bit of acidity.
22:33
The meat just melts in your mouth.
22:35
Is this one with lamb or mutton?
22:37
Okay.
22:38
Yeah, yeah, you taste the difference from the goat, yeah.
22:40
It is mutton.
22:41
Hey, knew it was mutton because you immediately taste that flavor.
22:45
And because the spices are not as strong,
22:47
you just really taste the full force of the meatiness of it.
22:50
Okay, next up for the Hyderabadi karahi and this one is with goat,
22:53
I think.
22:54
You see the bone marrow, the pieces.
22:56
You can see that this one is just caramelized on the edges,
22:58
all the the meaty juices.
23:00
If you scoop down all the oiliness, it just falls off the bone.
23:05
Look at the tenderness.
23:07
Fully saturated.
23:08
It's like shredded.
23:17
That is so rich.
23:19
That's like meat candy almost.
23:21
It's been caramelized in its fat.
23:23
But, I think it's all about like that edge that creates that flavor.
23:28
Just simmered in the fat on
23:30
that high fire flanking
23:31
and stirring and accumulating those the caramelized meat.
23:35
All that good.
23:37
All the karahis are unbelievable.
23:39
And all four of them taste so different.
23:41
Completely different makeup and spice blend and ingredients.
23:45
But, if I had to order one,
23:46
I think probably that shinoari karahi was my favorite.
23:49
But, the white karahi is unmissable as well.
23:53
Okay.
23:54
Still have a few more dishes to try.
23:56
Oh, I think I forgot about the palak paneer there at the front.
23:58
Let me grab a bite.
23:59
Palak paneer.
24:00
So, paneer cheese and like a creamy spinach sauce.
24:12
There's a lot of palak paneer
24:14
or saag paneer the way you It's like pureed,
24:17
so you barely even taste the flavor of the spinach.
24:20
That one you immediately taste the flavor of the spinach followed by this creaminess
24:23
and the crumblingness of the paneer.
24:25
Okay, I'm going to try some of the biryani next.
24:28
I think we got the chicken biryani.
24:29
And look at that rice.
24:30
You can really smell the saffron and the rosewater and the crispy onions.
24:39
Okay.
24:39
All right, get some of the chicken.
24:46
The fluffiness.
24:47
Oh.
24:53
The essence, the the aromatics, the cardamom in there, the clove, the crispy onions,
24:59
the rice is so fluffy, perfectly oiled,
25:02
the rice just kind of melts in your mouth.
25:05
Yeah, I love it.
25:09
Everything so far.
25:11
This entire meal, like
25:12
if I didn't know I was in the middle of the heart of Houston,
25:16
Texas, I would think that I'm in India or Pakistan.
25:21
From the the flavors, >> >> the variety, the diversity,
25:26
this is truly one of the the great restaurant experiences in the United States.
25:39
Okay.
25:39
Wow.
25:39
You will roll out of this restaurant
25:42
because you won't be able to stop eating,
25:44
but dessert, we're having dessert now.
25:45
We have a kulfi with noodles.
25:46
We have This is something really interesting,
25:49
like something I've never even heard of before,
25:50
a carrot halwa with gulab jamun with all sorts of things with in it.
25:55
And then two types of falooda.
25:57
Well, let's start with that kulfi while it's frozen.
25:59
Kulfi is like a an Indian Pakistani ice cream noodles rose syrup.
26:11
Oh, it's bold.
26:17
That is sweet, but really good.
26:20
Tastes like the creaminess, like the the creaminess of the milk.
26:24
It tastes like the richness of that.
26:27
And then we have some of the carrot carrot halwa.
26:39
It's like a Pakistani carrot cake almost.
26:41
That is a unique creation, something I've only seen at Aga's.
26:44
The flavor of the carrot, the halwa, like gulab jamun syrup, is saturated.
26:52
It is sweet, but it is really good.
26:54
And that's unlike anything else I've had.
26:57
Yeah.
26:57
The mango falooda, all with ice cream on the top, pistachios, jellies.
27:03
It's the full works and the falooda noodles.
27:06
You have to finish with something sweet when you come here.
27:09
And there's a party of sweets.
27:13
This restaurant This entire restaurant is a celebration.
27:16
Oh, yeah.
27:17
The mango.
27:18
I love the nuts in there.
27:20
The melting ice cream and the texture of the noodles.
27:28
Yeah.
27:28
Very good.
27:30
And one more.
27:33
The next falooda.
27:35
Rose falooda, okay.
27:36
Milk curds on top, the pistachios, the nuts, rose syrup, rose-flavored.
27:45
And you can eat and drink at the same time.
27:53
It's like a an ultimate milkshake with
27:57
so many different textures
27:59
and so many different like things going on in your mouth.
28:04
The jellies, the noodles, the creaminess, the ice cream melting, the rose aroma,
28:09
and the nuts all bringing it together.
28:13
But yeah, it has been an ultimate meal.
28:18
So happy, so full, and truly one of the great Indian Pakistani restaurants,
28:26
not only in the United States, but in the world.
28:30
And the thousands of people that come here, that line up,
28:33
that eat here every day is just a testament to the quality of the
28:37
food,
28:37
the authentic flavors, and the incredible family that runs this unbelievable restaurant in Houston.
