Shadow YouTube videos at A2 (Elementary) level — listen, repeat, record and score your pronunciation.
At A2 you understand sentences and frequently used expressions about areas of immediate relevance — basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment. You can communicate in simple, routine tasks requiring a direct exchange of information.
A2 maps to roughly IELTS 3.0 and the Cambridge A2 Key (KET) exam. TOEFL iBT generally starts measuring from B1 upward. See the full CEFR comparison table or the official Council of Europe descriptors.
Use slow, scripted content on everyday subjects — daily routines, shopping, travel. Shadow sentence by sentence, copying stress and melody, then record and compare to the speaker. Pick subjects you enjoy from shadowing topics or a channel; when it feels easy, move up to B1.
